THOROUGH EXAMINATION

EVERYONE IN MATERIALS HANDLING IS AWARE OF LOLER & PUWER BUT HOW EXACTLY DO THESE REGULATIONS AFFECT YOU?

ARE YOU 100% CERTAIN YOU ARE COMPLYING WITH THE APPROVED CODE OF PRACTICE AND HEALTH AND SAFETY LEGISLATION?

The key points are safety and compliance and at Nationwide Handling we ensure you will meet all of your requirements.

WHAT IS LOLER & PUWER?

LOLER & PUWER are the industry standard health and safety guidelines regarding products, service and maintenance for Materials Handling Equipment. and general warehouse products.

At Nationwide Handling we can provide a Safety Certificate or Thorough Examination, depending on what equipment is being used. A regular service plan is required by law for all types of Materials Handling Equipment to ensure that your company is legally compliant.

As a CFTS Member and accredited to the Safe Contractor scheme, Nationwide Handling engineers are qualified to carry out these inspections on most types of Pallet Trucks, Stackers, Lift Tables, High-lifters and other warehouse equipment.

Please use the information below to determine which maintenance plan your equipment needs to comply with the current legislation stated on the HSE website:

BI-ANNUAL

(every 6 months)

For all lifting equipment and associated equipment used to lift people (e.g., Scissor Lifts and Order Picking trucks). Also for all lifting accessories (e.g., FLT cages and harnesses).

ANNUAL

(every 12 months)

For all other lifting equipment; including Manual and Electric Pallet Trucks, Stackers, Highlifters and Lift Tables.

Please note that LOLER and PUWER thorough examinations are just inspections, so the equipment will still need to be serviced and maintained as per the manufacturers guidelines to ensure that the equipment is safe to use.
